Ice Storm Precautions For Families

The National Weather Services have warned the people about the cold winds and a snowstorm for around 15 states of the USA. 

Population from Texas to West Virginia are under winter weather alerts and frostbites, road accidents, power outages, and casualties may arise if proper care is not taken.

“Total freezing rain amounts could become significant across central Texas, southwest Oklahoma, central Arkansas, and western Tennessee, where over a quarter inch of ice accrual is forecast. Additionally, low to moderate chances for three-day ice accretion over a half inch exists over parts of central Texas and Arkansas,” shared the Weather Prediction Center.

How to Prepare For the Storm

There were many deaths in the last snowstorm therefore, it is mandatory to follow the below guidelines.

• Women close to delivery dates must visit the hospital or get admitted.
• People with special needs such as dialysis must get their appointments rescheduled or preponed
• Kee the kids indoors and do not allow them to step out in the cold
• Avoid driving 
• Stock up on food for two days and cook before a power outage occurs
