Here is the list of winners from the Golden Globe Awards and a small recap of the best moments from the much-awaited, controversial, and trailblazer awards for the American entertainment industry!

Here is our list of the best moments from the event

Host Jerrod Carmichael Takes A Dig At HFPA

Everyone knew why the awards were not on previously. But the whole rush to be dressed up, and awarded led to putting the controversy under the carpet. But when it comes to a comedian he knows how to make satirical moments fun for all!

He quipped, “I’ll tell you why I’m here: I’m here ‘cause I’m Black. I’ll tell you what’s been going on. This show, the Golden Globe Awards, did not air last year because the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — which I won’t say was a racist organization, but they didn’t have a single Black member until George Floyd died. So do with that information what you will. I’ll tell you how I got here. One minute you’re making mint tea at home, the next minute you’re invited to be the Black face of an embattled organization. Life comes at you pretty fast, you know?”

War Becomes A Topic

Sean Penn introduced Zelensky, saying “If the freedom to dream was a spear, I proudly present a human being who tonight represents that spear’s most honed tip.” After the message the video of Ukraine's president Zelensky was played he shared how art plays a role in paving better thoughts on how movies can be positive for people. He said, “It is now 2023, and the war in Ukraine is not over yet, but the time is coming, and it is already clear who will win. There are still battles and tears ahead, but now I can definitely tell you who was the best in the previous year: It was you. The free people of the free world. Those who united around the support of the free … in our common struggle for freedom, democracy, for the right to live, to love … no matter who you are, no matter where you are from.”

The Will Smith Reference

Certainly, it was done nicely but Eddie Murphy could have let things be in the year 2022. He was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award and he thanked everyone in his journey. He put things in reference in a mild way by saying, “Pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your fucking mouth.”

Jennifer Coolidge - The Coolest One

We have seen her in many roles. Sometimes a dumb blonde woman or a bad vamp. But with White Lotus, she got a chance to show her acting meat! And more than that her speech was so chaotic yet warm and a reminder to everyone that marching on is the only way out! She kept us reminding of the good things in life, "I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but what happened is they get sort of fizzled by life. I thought I was going to be the queen of Monaco even though someone else did it. And then you get older and think, 'Oh, what the f*** is going to happen? And, Mike White, you have given me hope. You’ve given me a new beginning… You changed my life in a million different ways."
