Reduce Blood Sugar And Cholesterol Levels With Raw Honey, Study Reveals

If you are on "natural sweeteners" for your drinks think of raw honey again. Studies reveal that if 10% of daily calories come from sugar, honey provides cardiometabolic benefits.

The study was carried out on 1,105 predominantly healthy individuals. The trials revealed that honey lowered fasting blood glucose and “bad” cholesterol.

While honey is 80% of sugar. It certainly has shown all aspects of healthy giving cardiometabolic benefits. 

A research associate Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Khan shared his views with the medical publisher, “Around 15% of honey is made of dozens of rare sugars — e.g., isomaltulose, kojibiose, trehalose, melezitose, etc. — which have been shown to have many physiological and metabolic benefits including improving glucose response, reducing insulin resistance, and promoting [the] growth of bacteria associated with a healthy gut.”

He further added, “many bioactive molecules, including polyphenols, flavonoidsTrusted Source, and organic acids that have an array of pharmacological properties including antibiotic effect, anti-cancer effect, anti-obesogenic [anti-obesity] effect, protection against free radical damage trusted Source and reducing inflammation, etc.”
