UAE Restaurants Offering Free Food To The Needy

Charity is deeply rooted in the culture and society of the United Arab Emirates, and it extends beyond individuals. Through the billion meals initiative, the UAE donated a record 600 million meals last year.

Many Asian and Arabic restaurants in the UAE offer free meals to blue-collar workers and individuals on visit visas, especially those from low-income countries. These restaurants typically serve Arabic, Pakistani, Afghan, and Indian cuisines. Here is a list of some of the restaurants that offer free meals:

  • Foul W Hummus: This Arabic restaurant offers a variety of free food options such as Foul W Hummus, falafel, moutabal, hummus with pine nuts, sandwiches, and more to ensure that no one goes hungry.
  • Fatta Kawareh: This Egyptian eatery in Abu Hail provides free meals to those in need. The initiative was launched during Ramadan last year when the restaurant noticed that people who couldn't afford meals were walking into the establishment.
  • Yummy Dosa: This Indian eatery offers free meals to blood donors and those who cannot afford to pay for their meal. People who have donated blood can visit any of the three restaurants in Dubai and Sharjah to enjoy the cuisine without paying.

  • Karachi Star: This Pakistani and Indian restaurant provides free meals to expats on visit visas, jobless individuals, and those whose visas have expired. They offer this service to anyone in need, regardless of their nationality.
  • Shinwari Tikka: Located in Deira, this restaurant offers free food to anyone seeking help. The owner, Khair Al Ameen, said they receive an average of four requests for free meals per day.
  • Khair Darbar: This restaurant in Al Quoz provides free meals to blue-collar workers or anyone who requests it.
  • Pak Khair Darbar: Located in Deira Dubai, this restaurant offers Pakistani and Indian delicacies and also serves free food to those in need.
