Superbowl Party Mistakes To Avoid

You've been organizing your Super Bowl party since the first day of the year, right? It's almost Super Bowl Sunday. No? If not, you could be thinking, "Eh, I just need to get a case of beer, a few jars of salsa, some chips, and an order of hot wings from the local pub, right?" That might be enough for some people. But when it comes to our Super Bowl parties, we want to show a little more affection.

You can order most Super Bowl dishes in advance. Don't even try to go shopping on a Saturday or Sunday; you're wrong if you believe you're the only one buying beer, wings, and chips. On Thursday or Friday, visit the market and fill up on the necessities. The good news? When you go to make your guacamole for the game, those avocados that are currently rock-hard will be wonderfully ripe. You just need to know how to be a good host!

You Should Have Other Options, Besides Beer.

Offer beer and wine in addition to a few spirits and mixers so that guests can create their own highballs. But what's crucial for beverages? Purchase twice as much ice as you anticipate needing. You'll run out, and nobody enjoys a beer that is only slightly warm.

For the Super Bowl, restaurants and supermarkets frequently offer substantial takeaway discounts. Make sure it's an excellent one if you must get one of those. Nothing is more gloomy than stale sandwiches and lukewarm crudités.

Personally, I believe it is worth the extra work to prepare a sizable pot of homemade chili or gumbo. Extra points if it's cornbread. The major rule: No plated meals whatsoever. It's a one-pot night tonight. It can be prepared in advance, warmed up, and then served. During the game, you shouldn't be preparing food or providing service.

Guests Can't Keep Track Of Their Disposable Cups.

The Solution: Place some vibrant permanent markers close to the buffet so that guests may label their cups. In this way, confusion will be avoided, and "floaters" won't overcrowd your home (you know, those random half-consumed drinks). The trick is to be a patient and thoughtful host!

You Put All The Food Out At Once.

Think of the evening as having five acts, and space the food accordingly, rather than presenting everything at once. For the first quarter, place one or two room-temperature snacks on the table.

For warming snacks like pigs in a blanket in the second quarter. Depending on your team's stamina, serve a main dish at halftime and dessert in the third or fourth quarter. From halftime on, have coffee available for those leaving early.

There Aren't Enough Seats Available.

People only visit your home to sit down, eat, and watch television. Making ensuring they can accomplish it is your responsibility. the morning of the big game, go for a test run.

Make sure you have enough seats (sofa arms don't count; ottomans, step stools, and picnic benches do); check the TV's view from all angles of the room; remove barriers like floor lamps; and ensure that there aren't any gaps in the seating arrangement). Extra points if you turn on the television to check your visual quality. If not, you still have time to develop a backup strategy, and trust us people will love you as the best host!

You're Too Worn Out Or Preoccupied To Enjoy Your Own Party.

Organize a potluck. You can concentrate on one outstanding homemade meal and make up the rest with contributions from visitors and pre-made snacks. Make sure to have a bowl of chips and dip available as a backup because Murphy's Law states that the person designated to provide appetizers will be late.
