Even if you are unaware of the specifics of what takes on at Coachella, you have undoubtedly heard of it by this time. You've seen the ornate boho attire that goes with it, you've heard of the singers performing, and you've perused Instagram photos of famous people having the time of their lives in the sun. What is Coachella?

Coachella is more than just the boho clothing, the acts scheduled to perform, or even the celebrities whose postings take over your Instagram feed. It concerns all of it as well as art!

This festival, which is formally known as "The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival," debuted in 1999 in Indio, California. There is a background behind it, which adds to its intrigue. Coachella began as a result of a dispute over service costs between the band Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster, which affected all concertgoers. This prompted the band to look for a different location for their Vs tour, which is how they found themselves on this side of the Californian desert.

Having said that, Coachella has developed into more than just a weekend of enjoyable music. Now that it has art installations, it has become a significant center for bohemian-inspired fashion, which is ideal for a warm summer day!

When is Coachella?

Every April, Coachella is spread out across two weekends, though the exact dates vary. Typically, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday make up the event. It will start on Friday, April 14, 2023, and end on April 23, 2023.

A lot of celebs are present, both those who are performing and those who are just there to hang out. Nearly every year, A-list celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Jared Leto, Leonardo DiCaprio, and others are sighted there.

Five primary stages—the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and Sahara Tent—are used for the music festival. Smaller performers and bands perform throughout the day, with the big names kept for the very end.
