superbowl moments1

Defensive lineman William "Refrigerator" Perry was called in by head coach Mike Ditka with his Bears up 37-3 against the Patriots to rush into the end zone for another score. Even if it had no bearing on the outcome of the game, it was still noteworthy.

Butler's Goal-line, Game-winning Pick In Super Bowl XlIX

Tom Brady was experiencing something of a Super Bowl drought between winning his third in 2005 and this one a decade later, and it appeared for all the world that Super Bowl XLIX would be the third to elude him in that time. This is difficult to believe given the record seven Super Bowl rings he has since retired with.

superbowl moments2

With 26 seconds remaining and a four-point deficit, the Seattle Seahawks were able to cross the goal line with the help of a spectacular catch from Jermaine Kearse. This gave them more than enough time to pass the ball to running back Marshawn Lynch for the go-ahead touchdown. Wrong. Did you know many friends stopped talking after the match results going against their favorite team? So if you want to avoid that fight try to avoid these super bowl party mistakes!

Tyree's Helmet Catch Defeats Pats In Super Bowl XlII

The Super Bowl XLII matchup between the 16-0 Patriots and the 10-6 New York Giants was meant to be a parade, but Eli Manning and company didn't read the script as they fell short of their goal of being the first team to finish an entire season undefeated since the 1972 Miami Dolphins.

superbowl moments3

Brady was frequently targeted by the Giants' vicious pass rush, which reduced New England's prolific offense to 14 points with two minutes remaining. After getting the ball back in his possession, Manning was entrusted with leading his team on a drive to win the game, and he accomplished the unbelievable.

The most iconic play of the drive, and possibly the finest in Super Bowl history, saw Peyton Manning launching the ball downfield on a prayer to David Tyree, who made the incredible one-handed catch on the side of his helmet to pick up a crucial 32 yards on third-and-five.

Titans Stopped One Yard Short In Super Bowl XXXIV

The Tennessee Titans were marching down the field in the final seconds of regulation time in search of a potential game-tying touchdown to send Super Bowl XXXIV into overtime after coming back from a 16-point deficit against the St. Louis Rams and their "Greatest Show on Turf" in the third quarter.

superbowl moments4

With only six seconds left, quarterback Steve McNair quickly released the ball at the Rams' 10-yard line and found receiver Kevin Dyson at the three-yard line who appeared poised to sprint into the end zone.

Not so. By lowering Dyson just short of the goal line with a crucial tackle, Rams linebacker Mike Jones helped his team hold on for an incredible victory.

Hester's Kick-off Td To Open Super Bowl XlI

The finest punt returner in NFL history. Devin Hester, who holds the record for most punt returns for touchdowns with 14 combined with five kickoff returns for touchdowns, is a proponent of this viewpoint.

Hester's most well-known touchdown was a 92-yarder that stunned the crowd and started Super Bowl XLI.

superbowl moments5

Even more amazing is the fact that Hester was a rookie on the Chicago Bears team that ultimately fell to the Indianapolis Colts 29-17. After having six return touchdowns in 2006, he doubled his total with another six in his sophomore campaign. Electric!
